Steps to Turn On Electricity & Water

⚡ Step 1: Turn On Electricity

Note: The electrical room door should always remain unlocked.

🔍 Location:

  • The electrical room is located to the left of the main back door (the only other door on the back of the cabin).

🔦 What You’ll Need:

  • A flashlight or your cell phone light

🔧 Instructions:

  1. Open the electrical room door.
  2. Locate the breaker box behind the door.
  3. Turn on the breakers highlighted in green (see chart on Page 2 or posted nearby).
    • Switches on the left side: Flip to the right (toward the center).
    • Switches on the right side: Flip to the left (toward the center).
  4. Yellow breakers (garage): Only turn on if you plan to use the garage.
    • Note: There is a second fuse box in the garage.
  5. Do NOT turn on any unhighlighted breakers.
  6. You may now turn on the water heater (safe to do since the tank is already filled).
  7. Exit and close the electrical room door.

💧 Step 2: Turn On the Water Pump

🏠 Location:

  • The pump house is a small building behind the garage, about 35 yards from the cabin.
  • Enter through the left-side door (right side is storage).

🔦 What You’ll Need:

  • A lantern is mounted on the wall just inside the door (pull up to turn it on), or use your flashlight.

🔧 Instructions:

  1. Enter the pump house and walk in front of the pump toward the right side (tight space—may need to walk sideways).
  2. Locate the yellow-handled shut-off valve on the floor, toward the back right.
  3. Turn the valve:
    • ON = Handle is in-line with the pipe (left to right).
    • OFF = Handle is pointing toward you and the back wall.
  4. After turning on the water, close the pump house door.

Head back inside the cabin and enjoy your stay!
