If you have owned a cabin — or, for that matter, any property; circled back to finish a website that has been on the to‑do list for… oh, a while now and you’re rusty; battled a squirrel; hired a professional to replumb a cabin after pipes once again froze over the winter, only to unearth another home — or in this case, both home and cabin — issue(s) that will take you from a kayak ride or tossing a rod with a fly in the water (for those passionate about clarity: I do not really intend to toss the rod in the water, but rather a line attached to a reel attached to a rod); endeavored to tackle home projects with the skill of a YouTube novice (again, for those who have a passion and penchant for clarity: I am not learning how to “YouTube,” but rather behaving like a freshman in need of Cliff Notes [young people may be confused about now], seeking “how‑to” and “101” online learning platforms — i.e., how to take apart a full Manabloc system in your home and how to do so without getting wet, or a more mild training like updating sprinkler heads or how to rid a home of rodents); or even if you have lived in this world up to this point without dabbling in the nitty‑gritty of the above, you may have given your heart to another human and can honestly say that the love | hate concept is not foreign. While not foreign, I am deigned to ask: is it friend or foe?
The multitude of projects — and the overriding GSD (Getting @#% Done) — continue to challenge, to teach, to induce a headache or two, to train, and while it seems to be a continuation of love and hate, I am delighted to say that after countless hours on my fanny with a computer, this website is at minimum presentable; I took on the challenge of creating a comprehensive site for an audience of a handful; the graphic created above makes me smile; the cabin is still standing; the water is not leaking from the Manabloc at the house; the love | hate relationship is not with another — whew 🙂 bet you didn’t see that coming; changing sprinkler heads can wait another day; my brain feels alive and alert; I am most likely sleep‑deprived and ill‑fed, but can report that no one died!
