🏠 Cabin Rules
Please follow all cabin rules to help keep the space safe and comfortable for everyone.
- Treat the cabin with care — this is a shared family space.
- If something breaks or isn’t working, let us know right away.
- Whatever you bring, take it home with you. … but leave your whiskey and / or gin
- No smoking inside; no illegal substances.
- Park in front of the cabin.
- Be gentle with windows — hardware is older.
- Supervise kids and pets, especially upstairs.
- Lock your car — bears are curious.

🚽 Septic System
- Only flush toilet paper.
- No wipes, feminine products, or anything else.
- No grease, oils, coffee grounds, or food bits down the sink.
- Use the sink strainer.
- Freeze grease in a can and toss when you leave.
🗑 Garbage & Recycling
There is no pickup service at the cabin.
- White can = trash
- Blue bucket = recycling
- Extra bags in the white hutch
- Take trash/recycling with you or drop at Island Park Dump (Yale‑Kilgore Road)
- Dog owners: please do a poop patrol
🔥 Outdoor Use
- Use the propane firepit — no open fires.
- Follow the Blackstone Griddle Do & Don’t page if you plan to use it.
- Outdoor table + chairs may be inside, outside, or in the garage.
🔌 Electricity & Water
Utilities must be turned on when you arrive and off when you leave.

🚪 Before You Leave
- Clean and tidy the cabin
- Empty and wipe out the fridge
- Wash and put away dishes
- Put dish drip pan in sink
- Clean coffee pot
- Dry wooden countertops
- Take trash & recycling
- Bring towels/laundry back to Pocatello
- Reload mouse traps
- Close windows, doors, curtains
- Turn off lights and water
- Shut down electricity & water
- Lock up and place key in the lockbox
- Roll the lockbox dials randomly
